Enrollment and Entrance Requirements

In accordance with California state law, children entering grade 1 must be 6 years of age on or before December 2 of the year in which they are enrolled.

Children with serious behavior problems, severe physical or health problems, and/or severe learning disabilities cannot be adequately served at Canoga Park Lutheran School.

Steps to be taken for admission to Canoga Park Lutheran School are as follows:

1. The principal may interview the parents and child.

2. Students entering kindergarten and grade 1 must present a copy of their birth certificate to show proof of age.

3. A recommendation from the child's previous school may be requested.

4. A copy of the child's last report card and most recent standardized test scores, if administered, shall be required for students entering grades 1 - 8.

5. Testing shall be administered to all new students applying for grades 1 - 8. A copy of the last report card must be submitted prior to testing.

6. Parents need to complete an application form for each child and submit it with the registration fee. The fee is refundable only if the application is declined.

Registration and Tuition

Canoga Park Lutheran School assesses a registration fee due at the time of application, which includes the assignment book and yearbook. This fee is non-refundable. Tuition and fees must be paid up to date before you may register your student for the fall.

Canoga Park Lutheran School, an educational ministry of Canoga Park Lutheran Church, is supported by the members of Canoga Park Lutheran Church through their regular weekly offerings. In addition, a substantial portion of our operating costs are covered by tuition assessments to all families enrolled in Canoga Park Lutheran School. A plan is available to offer a discount to families having more than one child attending. The tuition is reduced for each additional child enrolled.

Tuition envelopes are available to you for monthly payments. Tuition is to be paid in 10 monthly payments (August through May).
